My journey as a designer began in 1990's while at university studying at the Elder Conservatorium of Music - University of Adelaide. At the electronic music studio I was given access to computers which lead me toward a career as a designer.
Initially hired as a desktop publisher, I gravitated to food packaging design, then in the fullness of time to web design. After starting to write HTML for websites I transitioned to the design of web applications.
Today I consult for various organisations in Australia and aboard with a focus on the transition from problem to solution space.
I can lead in person and distributed teams to discover, design and deliver value as well as provide mentorship to team members with different levels of experience.
I can design and facilitate problem and solution space research using a mix of quantitative and qualitative approaches to mine for value.
I can research the problem space, develop diagrams to facilitate concept and scope alignment and render wire-frames to envision solutions.
I can facilitate the development of a brand visual language as well as develop hi fidelity prototypes from wire-frames either from scratch or utilising legacy design system components. I can also develop/configure and manage design system component libraries.
